New Jersey Native Comes Clean About Drug Addiction & Abuse On Off The Shelf

Author Andrew Mann

Andrew Mann, co-owner of a solar energy business, comes clean about childhood trauma and drug addiction on Off The Shelf Books Talk Radio (https://www.blogtalkradio.com/denise-turney-/2020/11/21/explore-such-unfortunates-with-andrew-mann). A New Jersey native, Andrew is the author of the book “Such Unfortunates”, a term used during Alcoholics Anonymous group meetings.

Alcoholics Anonymous and Such Unfortunates

Even during those  Alcoholics Anonymous meetings, the term didn’t escape Andrew. Part of his bottom found him living homeless in Camden, New Jersey. After several rehab attempts, Andrew met someone who finally showed him real love. This stranger encouraged him to believe in his true self and try again to get up and really live. Andrew answered that call.

It’s what unfolds before and after he entered sobriety that are at the heart of the book “Such Unfortunates”. During the feature Off The Shelf Books Talk Radio interview, Andrew shares how his family looked like a good, typical family from the outside. What onlookers weren’t aware of was the abuse that was occurring inside the family’s home. Years later, Andrew would discover that the extent of the abuse he experienced had changed his brain.

Signs of Abuse – Childhood Trauma and Drug Abuse

People who listen to the Off The Shelf Books Talk Radio show can gain insight about the hidden signs of child abuse. They can also discover hidden signs that a child or adult might be abusing drugs. Also, Andrew doesn’t hold back on the danger he experienced after a licensed physician prescribed him daily usage of a drug that left him feeling flat at the age of 13.

Parents, adults struggling with drug and alcohol addiction and teens on the edge of exploring drugs are encouraged to tune in. Andrew’s candidness is free of judgment, making it safe for people to connect and gain the help and support that they need.
