Upload excerpts from your books, add audio and video book trailers to your social network account  pages, etc. and, of course, add your books cover to your social networking account.  To get more traction out of your social network, consider using your most recent book’s cover as your personal social network profile image.  You’re also probably going to have to create new content at social networks you belong to in order to keep yourself (and your novels) in the minds of interested readers.  Your posts don’t have to be long.  However, it’s good to provide informative, educational, inspirational, etc. information in your posts, information that people in your networks find interesting and want to learn more about.  Additional steps you can take to promote your novels at social networks include:

• Posting lines of dialogue your main and supporting characters make throughout your novels
• Uploading pictures or sketches of your characters so readers can develop visual images of the characters
• Building a free Word Press, Bravehost, etc. website and writing a daily blog about what’s going on in the lives of your characters (without giving your stories away)
• Listing dates for upcoming book signings, radio and television interviews and other media appearances you have at your social networks
• Commenting on posts other members of your social networks make 

The more people see your name and book titles, the more familiar you can become to a growing book reading audience.  By keeping in touch with these interesting and engaging folks, you can have a ready audience, single adults and heads of families who can’t wait to read your latest book.
